Cool Flyer

Jason Lawless posted this on the Dancing mood forum. I thought it was pretty cool.

I think it was done by some cat from the netherlands named King Bacon, but I'm not positive.

Disc 1

The Upbeat : A Utah Ska Documentary

The Upstarts, a ska band from Salt Lake City, Utah, is getting ready to release their debut album. There is only one problem: there isn't much of a ska scene these days. This hasn't always been the case. In the 90's, Utah experienced an explosion of ska that some argue was comparable to the ska scenes in Los Angeles and Boston.

"The UpBeat" traces the history of ska and the influence the genre has had on the Utah music scene. Featuring interviews with Frederick "Toots" Hibbert (Toots and the Maytals), Buster Bloodvessel (Bad Manners), Vic Ruggierro & Dave Hillyard (The Slackers), and Robert "Bucket" Hingley (The Toasters). Also including influential local musicians Swim Herschel Swim, Stetch Armstrong, My Man Friday, Model Citizen, GOGO13 and Insatiable.

57 Minutes - color - stereo

The Up Beat

By Popular Demand…

After a packed and riotous screening in Salt Lake City, THE UP BEAT will screen in Utah County on August the 30th. As the central location of ska in the 90's, Utah County seems fitting for such an encore event.
The screening will be followed by a performance from 2-1/2 White Guys, who also make an appearance in THE UP BEAT
